We would like to thank everybody for their fantastic support and help that made it possible to have the biggest and best bike polo event yet take place in the beautiful city of Berlin. Espiacially those hardworking international poloplayers that helped set up the courts Kico, Tom, Rik, Dan and many others.

Most importantly we’d like to thank all the volunteers who kept the whole thing up and running, there are too many names to mention them all but they know who we are talking about ;-)

We also would like to thank all the teams from around the world that showed up and played some world class bike polo here in Berlin.

A special thanks goes to all the refs: Paul, Amanda, Lewis, Chris, Jono, Ben, Zach, Martin, Nick, Florian, Kev, Angie and many more who made sure everybody used common sense while on the court and outside of course.

One more thing: we still haven’t collected the money of those who slept in the Gym, tent or RV. Please make sure to paypal the money to stefanlech@gmx.de it was 2 euros per person per night, not much for the individual but the total amount (1440 Euro) puts our balance sheet way out of balance, so please pay asap.

Pictures: we know that you all took loads of pics and shot films and of course we want to see them and you to share them with the rest of the polo gang. So we thought to announce a little photo competition: please send your favorite three pictures or your favorite film to: martin@whbpc.org and we as organizers will declare 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd place , present those on the page and will send out prizes. Deadline for pics sent is Tuesday 24^th of August. We hope to receive loads of pics! Of course we still want your links where all your pics of the worlds are.

Hope to see most of you at one of the many upcoming polo tourneys.

We welcome you to the 2nd World Hardcourt Bikepolo Championships in Berlin!
64 Teams from all over the world will be here, we are excited and we hope you too.

Polo

Please make sure to be at the courts at 09:30 every day, because there could be important updates (see below).
You?ll find a personalized schedule of your games in this welcome package that tells you when you are playing.
Attention: this schedule might be changed because of weather!

Last Minute changes because of weather

Last minute info says that we will have rain ? unaccaptable, but we have to deal with this. That?s why we need your help to follow our shedule because some courts can?t be played when we have heavy rain.
We try hard to assure lots of games but it might be that we have to make some last minute changes, like shorten the duration per game or even play less games than planned. Don?t be afraid: Games will continue until water reaches your hubs!

Rules

Please make sure to read the rules, you?ll find in this package, so you have enough time to play polo instead of arguing with our refs (and as you know: the ref is always right!)
Above all, what counts is that you use your common sense and that we all have a great time playing world class polo!

Housing, Camping, the Gym?

The Gym: Please do not smoke or play bikepolo inside
Housing: In case you asked for private housing but haven?t received an offer yet, come to the office and ask Phil.
Camping: Don?t put up your tent on the soccer field, but behind it.
Toilets: There is a 24h toilet (see map)
Trash: Please remove your trash (also from the area next to the courts)
The Gym and the camping area are open until Monday 16.08.

Food & Drinks

Free vegetarian food will be provided from 11am to 2pm. After that you can buy beer, barbeque and thai-food on site.

There is more than Polo…

When daylight is gone, you should use the opportunity and go to the Beach Bar at Weissensee (http://www.binbaden.com/)

In case you loose some of your gear or equipment or if you find something that seems lost, please come to our office, we will setup a Lost & Found corner.

Call your Mum

If you have any requests or problems, come to the Orga-Office and we?ll try to care of it.
